Friday, November 7, 2008 “Nature Writing in the Everglades” Part of the Florida Humanities Council’s annual Everglades Gathering Everglades City, Florida
Join me for a half-day in the Everglades, recording your own natural reflections. We’ll use a variety of guided exercises to connect ourselves through pen and journal, to the area’s unique habitats and wildlife. We’ll also talk about the importance of keeping a nature journal, and writing nature memoir, at this particular time on the planet. Lunch is included. Space is limited. Cost: $50

We cannot do all that is needed alone, so we join together. With the help of three experienced leaders -- a therapist, a writer, and a singer -- and a small group of supportive women, you are invited to explore your own deep, inner responses to what is happening to our world.
